To serve, dip fried tofu pieces in chives. Combine the wine, light soy sauce, sugar, white pepper, and sesame oil. Heat the oil in a wok over medium heat. Pour in sauce, keep stir-frying to coat both the tofu and chives evenly.

Instructions to make Fried Tofu with Chives:
  1. Cut off the flower tips. Rinse the stems. Cut the stems in 1.5 inch pieces.
  2. Open the tofu and drain the water. Cut the tofu into 1.5 inch cubes.
  3. Put tofu and oil into a non-stick pan. Heat pan on medium high till the oil starts to bubble. After oil bubbles, cook for another 2-3 minutes till tofu is golden brown. Flip tofu and cook for another 2-3 minutes till golden brown on the other side. You can use a pair of chopsticks to flip the tofu cubes. Be careful, the oil pops.
  4. Add chives, Dasida powder, and salt to the pan. Gently stir the tofu and chives till the chives are soft.
  5. Ready to serve!

Add the olive oil to a non-stick pan and add the tofu cubes and a few pinches kosher salt. Turn on the heat to medium-high. It is my all time favorite stir-fry. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium high heat. Lightly dust each piece of tofu with corn starch, then coat with the egg mixture, and fry until both sides are golden brown.
